SacRT and California Northstate University Team up for COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic Today

The Sacramento Regional Transit District (SacRT) and California Northstate University teamed up today, Friday, August 6, 2021, for an onsite SacRT employee COVID-19 vaccine clinic.

Partnering with California Northstate University, SacRT offered the free vaccine clinic to staff onsite to provide a convenient option for more employees to get vaccinated.

California Northstate University (CNU) is the first university designated by the state as the public COVID-19 vaccination center since January 2021. With the partnership of the Sacramento County Department of Public Health, CNU College of Pharmacy and College of Medicine faculty, staff, student and community volunteers have administered over 40,000 Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines.

With extra vaccines onsite, the clinic was able to also open to the public for two hours. SacRT staff was stationed outside to let the public know and messages were shared on SacRT’s social media.

SacRT is grateful to have additional employees receive the COVID-19 vaccine. It is critical that front line staff continue to have access to vaccines as they move the region safely.
Reminder, SacRT continues to offer free rides to anyone going to or from a COVID-19 vaccine clinic, they simply need to show proof of their vaccine appointment. Visit sacrt.com/vaccines to learn more.
