The City of Stockton General Plan was adopted on December 4, 2018. The General Plan determines how and where the City will grow and identifies zoning consistent with the plan for growth and delivery of City services. Following the adoption of the General Plan, the City must resolve any land use inconsistencies and rezone parcels consistent with the
General Plan. Minor changes to the City’s zoning map have already been approved.

Remaining changes are best described and discussed with property owners by viewing the map and addressing questions with the City of Stockton Community Development Department representatives. A Spanish-language interpreter will be available at each Open House. If information is needed in languages other than English and Spanish or in an alternative format, please call (209) 937-7220 at least five days in advance. Advance notification will enable the City to make reasonable arrangements and to ensure accessibility. Proposed changes are displayed using an interactive Land Use Inconsistency Search Tool and map available at www.stocktonca.gov/zoningupdates.

Landowners are encouraged to review proposed changes and contact the City of Stockton with any questions. For questions or additional information, please email zoningupdate@Stocktonca.gov or call (209) 937-7220.
