即日起至 2 月 19 日 亞洲藝術博物館 將展出與實物大小相同的老虎公共藝術雕塑 Credit: Knight Lights Photography 舊金山 (2022 年 2 月 4 日) — 美國AARP樂齡會連續第二年能爲舊金山中國新年慶典和大遊行 (San Francisco Chinese New Year Festival and Parade) 的公共藝術裝置項目提供贊助而感到驕傲,該活動在舊金山各地展出,以慶祝農曆新年。AARP樂齡會所贊助的 「虎之後裔」 (Posterity Tiger) 雕像是中國商會 (Chinese Chamber of Commerce) 從即日起至 2 月 19 日展出的六隻與實物大小相同,名為「虎年遊行」的老虎之一。 AARP樂齡會委託當地著名藝術家侯玉梅 (Yumei Hou) 設計並創作了「虎之後裔」,目前正在Civic Center 的亞洲藝術博物館 (Asian Art Museum) 前展出。 侯女士對將其對民間剪紙藝術的造詣融入了雕像的設計中。「壽」 字,寓意長壽,鑄在微笑的母老虎頭上。她的耳朵和眼睛被剪裁成兩個長壽桃(蓮子包),代表健康和幸福。虎背上的鋸齒形圖案象徵著一個幸福的家庭,兩隻幼虎— 一個在她的肚子上,另一個在她的側面——象徵著成功。虎胸前的向日葵象徵著希望, 腿內側的桃子代表著健康。侯女士還曾經為舊金山 中央地鐵公共藝術項目 (Central Subway Public …
