The Seattle Southside Chamber of Commerce releases their 2021 Year in Review numbers and 2022 Events Schedule. Their mission: to create success for their members; advance our region; and maintain a strong economic environment in Southwest King County through support, service, and advocacy at all levels of government, and by connecting our members to our communities.
Through the Chamber’s programmatic work and action, they provide opportunities for the community to gather, celebrate, convene, network, learn and grow. They encourage authentic and meaningful relationships thereby boosting the collaborative culture of our region. From providing over 1,000+ Free & Confidential Technical Assistance Support for small business to distributing over 5,000 Safe Start Kits, keeping our community strong not only in economic development but safe and healthy to maintain a sustainable ecosystem.
“We are a membership organization. There is no us without you and we are so grateful that our membership continues to grow around 20% annually with an average of over 90% retention rate. Providing valuable resources and services is fundamental to both maintain and grow our membership with today over 508 active members. When I started, over 6 years ago, we had less than 300 active members. Thank you for continuing to invest with us so we can do our work to serve you and our community.” offered by CEO/President Andrea H. Reay.
If living through a pandemic has taught us anything, it’s to be nimble and flexible-and ready for anything. So, this year the Chamber is planning a mix of virtual, in-person and hybrid events. The Chamber will host a variety of events throughout the year that offers opportunities to network, connect, grow, and learn. By providing diversified event formats at various times of the day, their aim is to provide plenty of options so that everyone may find something that will work with their schedule and serve their need.
From quarterly summits with topics such as Education and Workforce, Economic Equity, and Trade to welcoming back some of the communities’ favorite traditions like the Mayors Reception, Port Luncheon, Business Awards Dinner and Holiday Celebration. All of these are in addition to our famous After-Hours Mixer events centered on building authentic relationships and showcasing businesses as hosts and virtual morning networking opportunities, there is an event suitable for everyone.
