SacRT Holding Two Hiring Events in June

SACRAMENTO, CA – The Sacramento Regional Transit District (SacRT) is hosting two in-person hiring events specifically to help bring onboard more bus drivers and fill other essential positions. SacRT offers extremely generous and competitive benefits for medical, dental, paid sick leave, retirement, and tuition reimbursement. Also, signing bonuses are available for bus drivers.

Tuesday, June 6, 2023 (tomorrow)
10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Thursday, June 15, 2023
2 p.m. – 7 p.m.
Location:
SacRT Auditorium
1400 29th Street, Sacramento, CA
(Accessible by bus routes 38, 67, and 68, light rail to the 29th Street Station, and SmaRT Ride)

SacRT is hiring for several bus driver positions, including full-time and part-time positions, and will provide paid training and assistance with obtaining necessary permits and Commercial Driver Licenses (CDL).

Some of SacRT’s open positions include:

  • Bus Operator (driver)
  • Network Operations Engineer
  • Operations Training Specialist
  • Paratransit Dispatcher
  • Transit Ambassador

Candidates should bring a valid ID and employment history (last 10 years of work).

SacRT is offering free rides for candidates attending the hiring event, they simply need to print or screenshot the free ride flyer. If a candidate is unable to attend an in-person hiring event, all positions are available online at the SacRT career portal at sacrt.com/careers.
