About 5,500 customers in 10 counties—Butte, Colusa, Glenn, Lake, Napa, Shasta, Solano, Sonoma, Tehama, and Yolo—previously notified about the potential PSPS today have been informed of the cancelation. Gusty winds in the Southern region of PG&E’s service area could potentially prompt a PSPS impacting about 670 customers in Kern County. Local customers have been notified that potential shutoffs could begin tonight around midnight.
PG&E in-house meteorologists and staff in its Wildfire Safety Operations Center and Emergency Operations Center continue to monitor conditions. Additional customer notifications for Kern County will be issued as we move closer to the potential event.
