Crystal Lee
Miss California 2013 and runner up to Miss America
Crystal Lee was crowned Miss California 2013, the first runner-up in the Miss America 2014 pageant, Miss Chinatown USA 2010, and Miss California Outstanding Teen 2008. Crystal was born in San Francisco, CA to an American-born Chinese father and Taiwanese mothers. She has one sister named Jasmine Lee. Crystal received her B.A. in Human Biology and M.A. in Communication from Stanford University in 2013. After she completed her reign as Miss California 2013, Lee joined Google’s Market Development Team. Lee was first runner-up in the Miss America 2014 pageant where her platform was “Women in Stem.”
Jenny Yang
Writer and Stand-up Comedian of Dis/orient/ed Comedy
Jenny Yang is a Los Angeles-based writer and stand up comedian who produces the first-ever (mostly) female, Asian American standup comedy tour, Dis/orient/ed Comedy. Jenny was born in Taiwan and raised in Southern California. Before comedy, Jenny dedicated herself to the Los Angeles labor movement, graduated top of her class in political science at Swarthmore College, and was a PPIA Fellow for a Master’s in urban planning at UCLA. As a co-producer and performer on the (mostly) female, Asian American standup comedy tour, Dis/orient/ed Comedy, Jenny has successfully sold out theaters and comedy venues, and brought standing-room only shows to colleges and universities throughout the country.
