The 22nd Annual Healthy Sacramento Day will have games and entertainment for the entire family, while providing a host of free services to everyone of all ages to improve health and connect people to needed services.
The community health festival is Saturday, November 19 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at Heart Health Park, home of the Sacramento Republic FC soccer team.
The event offers free preventive health and dental screenings, fresh produce, haircuts, flu and COVID19 vaccinations, eligibility screening for programs such as Covered California, Medi-Cal and CalFresh, community resources, family activities, games and entertainment.
Entrance and parking for Healthy Sacramento Day are free through Lot A at Cal Expo. No registration or proof of insurance is needed to attend. All services are provided on a first-come, first-served basis and are free of charge, regardless of income, ability to pay or immigration status. Community Health Workers will be on hand to answer questions in English, Spanish, Russian, Ukrainian, Hmong, Vietnamese, American Sign Language, Pashto, Urdu, Hindi, Punjabi, Arabic, Farsi, and Dari.
Healthy Sacramento Day is organized by Sacramento Covered, a nonprofit organization that, since 1998, has been connecting area residents to health coverage, primary care doctors, transportation to appointments, language interpreters, food, housing and other critical health and social services.
