WHAT: Excelsior Community Service Center Grand Opening

The Community Youth Center is hosting a grand opening ceremony for a new office location to serve the Excelsior community. The Excelsior Service Center will connect residents to referrals and services and offer programs to youth, adults, and seniors.

WHO: Community Youth Center of San Francisco (CYC) and Supervisor Asha Safaí

WHEN: Friday, May 25, 2023 2pm PST WHERE: 35 San Juan Avenue San Francisco, CA 94112

WHY: The Excelsior district is one of the fastest growing neighborhoods for APIs in San Francisco. APIs makeup 41% of the population in the Excelsior with a subpopulation who are immigrants living at low income levels and need access to appropriate services and resources. The Excelsior Service Center will bridge this gap and provide culturally and linguistically appropriate connection to services and resources, life skill workshops, multicultural events, and technology classes for seniors.
