For the past forty years, the Food Bank of Yolo County has proudly worked to effectively meet the food and hunger needs of thousands of needy residents. Founded in 1970, and incorporated in 1971, the Food Bank has grown from a backyard gleaning program, providing a few thousand pounds of food per year, to an organization that distributes millions of pounds of food annually. Through programs, publications and outreach events, the Food Bank regularly demonstrates its commitment to promoting nutrition and healthy living throughout Yolo County.
