Debuted in 2004 at the age of 17, Lee instantly became a star as his debut song ‘Because You Are My Woman’ written by Psy tops charts and created a ‘liking older women’ or ‘younger boyfriend’ syndrome. The song is still popular among guys as a love song for an older girlfriend even after two decades.
A little after his grand debut, Lee joined the most popular variety show at the time, 1 Night 2 Days, as the youngest member. Known and beloved by his nickname ‘heodang’, his appearance on the show shot him to fame in Korea and made him a household name. He expanded his career into acting and starred in so many movies and top TV shows such as My Girlfriend Is a Nine-Tailed Fox, The King 2 Hearts, Gu Family Book, Vagabond, and Brilliant Legacy.
