PG&E’s Operations and Meteorology teams are monitoring a wind event forecasted to bring elevated wildfire risk conditions to portions of Northern and Central California beginning Friday afternoon into Monday. This would be the fifth PSPS of 2026. This potential wind event, combined with low humidity, could create a period of elevated fire danger.
Given these conditions, PG&E has activated its Emergency Operations Center (EOC) and sent notifications on Thursday night, Oct. 8, to customers who may be affected. Customers can look up their address online to find out if their location is being monitored for the potential safety shutoff at pge.com/pspsupdates.
