SacRT to Hold Two Hiring Events in June

Offering On-the-Spot Hiring for Bus Drivers

SACRAMENTO, CA – The Sacramento Regional Transit District (SacRT) is hosting two in-person hiring events specifically to help bring onboard more bus drivers and other essential staff positions. SacRT offers an extremely generous and competitive benefits package for medical, dental, paid sick leave, retirement, and tuition reimbursement. Also, signing bonuses are available for bus drivers.

The hiring events will be held at SacRT’s Administration Building in midtown Sacramento.

Hiring Event Details: Tuesday, June 14, 2022

2 p.m. – 7 p.m.

Wednesday, June 22, 2022

10 a.m. – 3 p.m.

1400 29th Street, Sacramento, CA

(Accessible by bus routes 38, 67, and 68, light rail to the 29th Street Station, and SmaRT Ride)

SacRT is hiring for several bus driver positions, including full-time and part-time positions, and will provide paid training and assistance with obtaining necessary permits and Commercial Driver Licenses (CDL).

Candidates should bring a valid ID, employment history (last 10 years of work), residential history and conviction history (last seven years), and a DMV driver record print out.

SacRT is offering free rides for candidates attending the hiring event, they simply need to print or screenshot the free ride flyer, available at sacrt.com/hiringevents.
