DuPage County Health Department Welcomes Daniel Tiger to Promote Water Safety on Protect Swimmers Day

DUPAGE COUNTY— On Protect Swimmers Day, organizations, businesses, swimming facilities, and Daniel Tiger of Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood will come together to raise awareness about child and adolescent drowning risk factors and preventive strategies.

Media will have the opportunity to attend a special event with aquatics and water safety experts and families enrolled in swim lessons. This unique opportunity offers a fun and educational experience as Daniel Tiger engages with young swimmers to promote water safety. Media will have the chance to capture heartwarming interactions, interview organizers, and see firsthand how familiar characters can help reinforce essential life skills in a playful and supportive environment.

When:	Thursday, July 17, 2025 9:00 – 10:00 am: Media/Partner Reception 10:00 – 11:00 am: Water Safety Program 11:00 am – 11:30 am: Poolside photos
