Role and Responsibilities: As the Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth and shaping our sales force. If you are an inspiring coach, a teamwork facilitator, a strategic thinker, and a goal-oriented manager with a passion for media sales, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise Day-to-Day Sales Activities: Oversee daily sales operations, monitor the sales pipeline, and provide strategic guidance to achieve and exceed revenue goals.
- Lead Sales Opportunity Generation: Drive initiatives to identify and cultivate new sales leads, ensuring a consistent and healthy pipeline.
- Manage Account Assignments: Strategically assign accounts to optimize team efficiency and enhance client satisfaction.
- Train and Coach Sales Team: Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the sales team by providing coaching, guidance, and training to enhance the skills and capabilities of account executives.
- Participate in Key Account Development: Collaborate with the team to identify and strengthen key client relationships, building and maintaining strong partnerships with valued clients.
- Create Sales Strategies: Leverage market trends and industry insights to develop effective sales strategies for the team, innovating and adapting to changing market conditions to maintain a competitive edge.
- Analyze Progress and Results: Regularly evaluate team performance and progress using data-driven insights to make informed decisions and refine sales strategies and tactics.
- Facilitate Cross-Department Collaboration: Ensure seamless collaboration between the sales team and other departments, such as production, accounting, master control, and marketing, to achieve effective cross-functional teamwork.
- Set and Manage Sales Budget: Take ownership of setting and managing the sales budget, monitoring expenditures and revenue to ensure alignment with financial goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a leadership role.
- Ability to thrive in a start-up-like environment.
- Sound understanding of media industry trends and advertising landscape.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to inspire and lead a sales team in a fast-paced and collaborative organization.
- Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset.
- Proficiency in sales analytics and budget management.
- An entrepreneur at heart and a problem-solver by nature.
- Genuine interest in learning about and advocating for the Asian American community.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with the broadcasting industry.
- Have an established network of contacts within the advertising industry.
- Knowledge of the Asian American or multicultural advertising landscape.
