Stockton, CA – Are you a super hero forced to dress like a normal human most days of the year? Is your best princess gown gathering dust in your castle closet? As a zombie, are you tired of only going out at night? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then this offer is for you!
StocktonCon will take over the Stockton Arena on Saturday, August 19 and Sunday, August 20 with a celebration of all things pop-culture. RTD will add to the festivities this year by offering free rides on the bus for any guest in a costume heading to or from the event! Guests can get there on RTD route 40, with bus stops right by the Stockton Arena. RTD route 44 brings guests from South Stockton to the Downtown Transit Center where they may connect with route 40. Those staying at hotels near March Lane and Interstate 5 may use RTD route 745 to connect with route 40 at the Mall Transfer Station and proceed from there to the Arena.
RTD will also have an informative and run outreach table at StocktonCon with appearances by special guest and public transportation super hero, Artie D.!
The goal of StocktonCon is to raise awareness of outstanding artists in the San Joaquin Valley area and to give attendees the chance to experience a wide variety of popular culture including comics, card games, video games, anime, manga, science fiction, toys, television, and movies. There will be a costume contest, art show, pop-culture celebrity signings, video game tournaments, and wrestling competitions.
