Now In Its 18th
Year!
Crossings TV is a
proud sponsor of the 2010 Pacific Rim Street Fest!
In 1993, the first
Pacific Rim Street Fest was presented in Old Sacramento by the legendary
restaurateur, Frank Fat, and community groups. With his ever optimistic
spirit, he was able to create a coalition of community leaders and succeed
in seeing his dream of a street festival come to pass.
For 17 years, the
festival has displayed the richness and diversity of many Pacific Rim
cultures through cultural programs, entertainment, art and food. The event
also enhances the community's knowledge of Asian/Pacific Island cultures in
a fun and positive environment.
This year's Pacific Rim
Street Fest will be held on Sunday, May 23
from 10:00am - 5:00pm
in Old Sacramento and Westfield Downtown Plaza.
Having people of all
ages and backgrounds at the event offers an excellent vehicle for leading
businesses to showcase their support for the Asian American community. Each
year the festival features an aspect of Asian culture as the theme of the
festival. For the year 2010, the theme is "Paper".
Crossings TV will be on
hand to cover the event and will air a 30-minute highlight special (date
TBA)...stay tuned for more details!
