Capital City Classic Robotics Competition

On October 27 to 29, the FIRST Robotics Competition, Capital City Classic, will
take place at Pleasant Grove High School in Elk Grove. Capital City Classic was
established to create a fun, educational event for students to gain experience in robotics.

The event is hosted by three local teams: Eagleforce Robotics from Pleasant
Grove High School, Wolfpack Robotics from Cosumnes Oaks High School, and Citrus
Circuits from Davis Senior High School.

Capital City Classic is a tournament-style competition for experienced teams and new teams.

It provides students on these teams an opportunity to learn about FIRST
robotics competitions and how they work. Registration is full at 33 teams and 46 robots, but students and adults of all ages are welcome to come watch the competition and enjoy the energetic, sporting atmosphere.

Citrus Circuits, along with several other teams, will be presenting a series of
workshops concurrent with the competition to educate teams on both soft and technical skills, including mechanical design, financial budgets, robot programming, strategy, and a variety of other topics.
